Qualifications
Position requires a Baccalaureate Degree in nutrition/dietetics from a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association (ADA) degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or related area, with at least 2 years experience within the preceding 3 years in clinical dietetics in an acute care medical treatment facility and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition or related field demonstrating positive evidence of ability to perform all of the duties of the position.
Must be registered and maintain registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration through the American Dietetic Association. Continuing education in dietetics and nutrition is required, complying with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association requirements.
Must be able to be successfully granted provider privileges by the Credentials Office and maintain privileges. Certification as a Nutrition Support Dietitian and/or Diabetic Educator is desirable.
Must maintain certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and any other mandatory annual training requirements as per MTF.

QUALIFICATIONS
1.1 Have and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association.
1.2 Masters Degree in Education/Community Health/Population Health.
1.3 Minimum of five years experience in Education or Community Health or Population Health. Must have excellent communication skills.

1. Qualifications
1.1. Provide professional nutrition services and programs to all Government beneficiaries including active duty military, military family members, DoD civilians, and retirees.
1.2. Responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating all HAWC nutrition-related primary, secondary and tertiary prevention education programs and services IAW Air Force instructions, guidelines, and population needs.
1.3. Administers nutrition assessment, prescriptions and counseling, comprehensive nutrition prevention programs, chronic disease management protocols with a nutrition component and various other health and nutrition programs/activities that meet the needs of the installation community.
1.4. Serves as the nutrition consultant to the Director Base Medical Service and the Air Force community and its agencies.
1.5. The organizational location of this position is the installation HAWC. Coordinates with HAWC staff (Health Educator, Fitness Program Manager and Information Manager) to deliver programs in a variety of community settings to include individual unit worksites, community facilities, and the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).

Overview:
1.1 The primary purpose of this position is to assist in planning and execution of all aspects of the installation Health Promotion Program (HPP) and Health and Wellness Center (HAWC) activities and programs in concert with Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force Health Promotion Operations (HPO) and Major Command (MAJCOM) strategic goals and objectives.
1.2 The organizational location of this position is the installation HAWC. Coordinates with HAWC staff (Fitness Program Manager, Nutrition Program Manager, and Information Manager) to deliver programs in a variety of community settings to include individual unit worksites, community facilities, and the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).

SUMMARY. Administers occupational medicine program; provides urgent and non-urgent outpatient medical care to authorized DoD affiliated personnel and selected active duty personnel with special standards of medical qualification. Evaluates working environments to detect and control health hazards and prevent disease and injury within the work environment. Related DoD Occupational Group: 260100.
2 QUALIFICATIONS.
2.1 Education. For entry into this specialty, it is mandatory to possess a doctor of medicine degree or a doctor of osteopathy degree from an approved school of medicine or osteopathy, a Master's degree or equivalent in public health, and complete 1 year of graduate medical education in a clinical specialty at a hospital acceptable to the Surgeon General, HQ USAF.
2.2 Experience. A minimum of 12 months of experience in occupational medicine and a completion of residency or fellowship in occupational medicine acceptable to the Surgeon General HQ USAF, or board certification by the American Board of Preventive Medicine – Occupational Medicine is mandatory.
